Tripoli, 20.04.2009 (JANA) The 2nd workshop being
organized by the UN mission in Great Jamahiriya to follow-up
aspects of cooperation between Great Jamahiriya and UN
organizations began in Tripoli Monday morning.
During
the two-day workshop, participants discussed priorities of
national developments, assessing outcome accomplished by UN
projects in Great Jamahiriya during 2008, determining areas
of cooperation and coordination in preparing development
strategies for UN future activities in Libya.
The UN
resident Coordinator asserted the very strong ties with UN
organizations enjoy with the various sectors in Great
Jamahiriya. He said in a speech at the opening session that
the workshop will discuss how to promote partnership and
offer further support to economic and social development...
he praised accomplishments being made in Great Jamahiriya.
For his
part, the Undersecretary of the GPC for Planning and Finance
said the technical cooperation between Great Jamahiriya and
UN organizations and agencies is given special interest for
the importance of promoting and developing developmental
programs in the various areas and accomplishing main
objectives of human development, economic diversity and
sustainable development. |
