The Leader of the revolution, Brother Colonel Moammar Al

Addis-Ababa "Africa must have a permanent
seat in the Security Council and must enjoy full
privileges. Africa is the only continent that
has no permanent seat in the Security Council.
I will start advocating and struggling for this
right, staring from the Security Council, where

I will talk with all countries worldwide and
with UN General Assembly that Africa, whether

a permanent seat in the Security Council just
like China, which gained this seat before the
reform of the UN was put forward”.
With insistence, he repeated that Africa must have a
permanent seat in the Security Council and must
enjoy full privileges and that we are not
begging anyone to bestow upon us this right.
Nobody owns the UN to give us this? Nobody!
Smack the AU chairperson insisting, we own the
UN... the African Continent constitutes 25% of
the UN; Africa on its own represents 25% of the
UN member states. If Latin America and Asia join

General Gathering of the leader's companions issue a statement
on the unionist demonstration led by student Muammar al-Qathafi
on 5th October 1961.
The 5th
of October 1961 demonstration which was planned and organized by
the Revolutionary student Muammar al-Qathafi in Sebha in
condemnation of the separation crime of Syria from the United
Arab Republic on 28 / 9 /1961 was not a normal event or a normal
student demonstration to express a mere negative rejection of
this serious event.
Rather it
was the only demonstration waged in the Arab arena from Ocean to
the Gulf during which the protestors expressed the consciousness
of the Arab nation and deep feeling of the dangers of separation
on the future of the Arabs, their national security and their
real hopes in unity liberation and salvation.
The 5th
of October demonstration was a distinctive landmark in the
movement of the leader Muammar al-Qathafi. It was one of the
most important tests and methods of expressing the stand of the
Free Unionist Officers which at first limited to students
circles, then it thoughts have become endorsed by wide sectors
of the Libyan people including students, workers, farmers,
teachers and tradesmen who had taken part in the angry
demonstration chanting in rejection of the separation crime
demanding to punish the separatists and the calling for the
rebuilding of the United Arab Republic with its two North and
South Regions...(Read

The
Leader of the Revolution warns Condoleezza Rice on Establishing
Military Base in Africa.
The leader
Muammar Al-Qathafi warned yesterday the US Secretary of
State
Condoleezza Rice at a meeting in Tripoli that any American
military bases that might be established on the African
continent would be considered by Africans as colonialism.
“Africans would reject such military bases” said the leader to
Rice.
The warning
came
as the two discussed regional and international issues of common
interest including the plans by the US to establish a major base
in Africa, known as Africom.
Rice
arrived in Tripoli Friday evening in the first visit by top
American diplomat in over half century.
The Libyan
news agency JANA said "on the subject of the American military
command, Africom, the Leader warned on any American military
direct presence in the content."
"Assuring
that Africans will view such military presence as being
colonialism and they will reject it," JANA added.
JANA said
"on her part, the US Secretary informed the Leader that America
was not seeking to establish military bases or military presence
in Africa."
On the
issue of Palestine, Al-Qathafi stressed that such Middle East
problem could only be solved by the establishment of the state
of "Isratine", a state that includes both Palestinians and
Israelis who would live together within the borders of Palestine
as existed before 1948. Al-Qathafi has comprehensively explained
such solution in his "White Book" a number of years ago.
At the end
of the meeting, Secretary Rice presented to Al-Qathafi a gift in
the form of the official seal of the State Department and he
presented her with an Arab music instrument, Oud.

thousands of Muslim faithful in prayers at Nakivubo Stadium in

Non-Muslims
who believe in God can make a pilgrimage to Islamic holy sites
in Mecca, according to Libyan leader Col. Muammar Qathafi.
The American president, he added, can visit Mecca as long as he
is not an atheist, whom he said, Islam forbids to enter such
sites as mosques.
Addressing thousands of Muslims at Nakivubo Stadium in Kampala
yesterday, Qathafi asked: “Who says non-Muslims cannot go to the
Kabbah?”
Quoting the Koran, Qathafi added that the Kabbah was the house
of God for all people. “How come Muslims monopolize the Kabbah?
It’s the right of everybody to go round the Kabbah. It’s
non-believers who are disgraced.”
